One in particular covering his entire left arm from his shoulder to his wrist. He also has a heart tattoo on his other wrist and his favorite American author's (Edgar Allen Poe) eyes tattooed to his back above his shoulder blades. He has a small scar on the back of his neck, usually hidden by his hair from when he was younger and fell out of a tree. Appearance: One of the first things you'd notice about Augustus is his eyes. Their sharp, intense green stare. He generally uses his stare for intimidation, but also finds it as a good way of pressuring people to do things (though he tries not too do that too much). The fact that they're so dark and deep set helps too. Another distinguishing physical aspect of Augustus is his body type. His tall stature, and small thin frame allows him to easily slip through any crowd. Augustus' fingers are long and thin, just as many of his features are. Augustus wears his brown, slightly curly hair, long. Though he usually covers it up with a knit cap that comes level just above his eyes. Doesn't hold grudges as he prefers to just get even and done with it. Can easily be swayed with kindness at times as he's rarely been shown any within his lifetime from his family (other then his mother). Strengths: Quick on his feet and in his mind. Has a pretty high threshold for pain. Also has a talent for manipulation (he tries his best to be sweet and persuasive when he needs to be). Weaknesses: Has a huge fear of drowning. The closest thing he'll get to jumping in a pool is the bathtub. And even then he doesn't like the feeling of being submerged in water. Likes: Watching Quidditch, smoking, the joys of meaningless sex & poetry (though he'd tell no one). Dislikes: Playing Quidditch, homework, annoying individuals, those he deems lesser then he. Habits: Has a horrible habit of smoking, which he'd blame his father for. Plays with his hair a lot when he's thinking about something that bothers him or worries him. History: Augustus Rookwood was the only child born to Phillip and Helena Rookwood. Growing up as the only heir to his family's fortune made life a little more difficult for him. His father made sure to remind him on a daily basis that he was to inherit everything and in order to receive it, he'd have to be the best, better even. His family owned an antique shop, showcasing a variety of old and ancient magical devices and books. His father had expected him to take over the business when he graduated from Hogwarts, but Augustus had other plans later on in life. At an early age, he learned that he could get almost anything he wanted if he tried hard enough to manipulate the person or party. He could blame his father for instilling those values in him. Though his father's philosophy was more to the tune of "Take what you want in life, don't ask." But Augustus' mother was his godsend. She was the only true thing in his life, and it was rather unfortunate that she had to deal with such a man for a husband. Augustus had always found it odd that his father, with all his opinions in life would have married a half blood Hufflepuff. It was beyond young Augustus' logic, but he never really questioned it. Many issues in the Rookwood house had a similar tag line to them. Don't ask, don't tell. Life away at school always seemed so much better then life at home. Though anywhere other then home seemed better in Augustus' eyes. But he trudged through. He didn't like the feeling of so much weight on his shoulders, but he adapted quickly to things. Especially when it came to his work ethic, or lack thereof. He never cared for doing much work when he knew he could always get someone else lower to do it for him. He quite often would have people do his work for him in return for one favor or another, which quickly became something he was known for. Augustus wasn't easy, he was actually quite picky, but he did was he had to to get what he wanted. Once out from school, Augustus started to work for the ministry, hopeing to just find a niche of his own. His title at the time was administrative assistant to one of the clerks within the Department of Mysteries. Though that didn't last too long as soon as he started working with the Dark Lord. Working his way up in the ranks of the Death eaters was far too satisfying to pass up. He had a new family, and they took care of him. Though once he was ratted out, it wasn't long until he was locked up in Azkaban. Now with thirteen years under his belt, and recently being busted out in a rather large explosion by a fellow Death Eater, he's ready to get back to business. Getting referred to by his real name bothers him, but those closest to him he lets get away with it. Would much rather be referred to as Rook. 3.) HATES soda.
